Children at Shooting Stars are supported to explore and develop as naturally inquisitive learners.
Since 2014 we have focused on providing a warm and friendly environment in Unterägeri,,where children of all ages can learn in English, through specially designed sessions and classes based on the UK curriculum. Central to our values is to nurture both the emotional and intellectual growth of our children.

Classes
Learning Through Play
Preschool
From 58 CHF
Our English preschool for 2 - 5 year olds provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. We emphasize both academic and social-emotional development through a balanced curriculum and play-based learning.
We also offer Art club, Playball and Yoga as extra activities for your preschooler.

Afternoon Classes
From 50 CHF
We offer a wide range of afternoon classes for Kindergarten and Primary school children. Our popular UK Clubs follow the UK Curriculum and support children with their reading and writing. For non-native speakers our English club and English Workshops are a fun way for them to be immersed in the English language and develop their language skills.
K's Art Clubs offer children an opportunity to experiment with a wide range of media and techniques and to learn all about different artists.

Other activities
From 50 CHF
Throughout the year we run a variety of Saturday workshops for children of all ages. From making Christmas cards to creative story writing there is something for everyone.
Techlabs run robotics and programming after school classes at Shooting Stars for children aged 6 years and up. On Mondays Links to Literacy will start a new Book Club for children aged 10 years and up.

What We Do Best

By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.
UK Qualified Teachers
​Qualified early years and primary school teachers with extensive experience teaching in schools in the UK, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
Warm, Friendly Environment
​Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a supportive and safe environment where your child can explore and thrive. It is important to us that the children are happy at Shooting Stars and that the playroom is filled with positive energy. This includes fantastic relationships with parents.
English Preschool
All of our teachers are native English speakers. We continually extend the children's learning through language rich interactions. Daily story time is a highlight for both children and teachers.
​Child-centered Learning
We look at the child’s interests and experiences and listen to their ideas. This helps us to meet the needs of each individual child. We provide activities that the children can take ownership of and explore independently.
